Rafael joined ‘Salsa SOS’ in 2009 as an Associate team member, to teach the Advanced Cuban Salsa and Rueda classes every Thursday night at

Las Iguanas -Lakeside!

He is undoubtedly the most famous and successful Cuban Salsa dancer in the UK today; Having won the Tropicana World Open Salsa Championships in 2001 and again in 2002!

He has also taught and performed at many Salsa Congresses all over the world, and we are now privilaged to have him working with us here in Essex!

The first time we saw Rafael in the UK was when he performed in the hit West End show “Lady Salsa”.

Since then, Rafael has also appeared in numerous music videos for top artists including American R’n'B singer Alicia Keys video for hit single “Girlfriend”.
