World Cup Salsa Club Closures!

Sorry about the short notice, but I only just got confirmation today…

Due to both ‘The Woodlands Club’ in Basildon, and ‘The 2 Brewers’ in Chelmsford having been set up for customers to watch the World Cup, there will be no salsa nights at either venue (Mondays & Wednesdays) for the rest of June.

Mondays at the 2 Brewers in Chelmsford will resume on Monday 5th July, and

Wednesdays at The Woodlands Club in Basildon will resume one week later on Wednesday 14th July.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at Las Iguanas will be continue as normal, so if you don’t want to wait until July for your next salsa fix, then why not join us there.

Sorry about any inconvenience caused, and I look forward to seeing you on the dance floor.

All the best

What Can Salsa Dancing Do for You?

Salsa dancing isn’t exactly the easiest skill in the world to learn, and it can take a lot of time and effort to get even reasonably proficient, especially for men. There is the likelihood of looking or feeling foolish, you have to interact with people you don’t know, and you have to pay for the privilage (ouch!).

So, why do so many people of all ages and backgrounds take up Salsa Dancing? An even bigger question is… Why do such a high percentage stick with it for so long, and make it the focal point of their Social Life?

The following are a few of the main benefits most people appear to gain learning to Dance Salsa! Read the rest of this entry »

The ‘New Look’ Salsa SOS Website!

Welcome to SalsaSOS.co.uk!

Updating our Club’s website is a job that has been overdue for quite some time, and it is quite a relief to have finally managed to get around to doing it.

I have put a lot of time and effort into the design of this new website… and I have to that say that I feel pretty happy with the end result.

I have included some new features here on the New Salsa SOS website that were not on the old one… Instead of having a separate Salsa SOS Blog, I have built the blog into the main website as the ‘Blog Posts’ page, and you can subscribe to my RSS feed via the ‘Feed Me’ button at the top right of the page.

To add to Your convenience I have also created a Facebook Page, where you can post comments, photos, and videos, etc. as well as a YouTube Channel where I plan to regularly feature videos of salsa routines I have taught, along with playlists of other videos I think you will find useful.

Make sure you visit both the Salsa SOS Facebook page, and the ‘SalsaDaddyUK’ YouTube channel, and share them with your friends!
